Chairman of Directors

As Chairman of Directors, Graeme Marriott brings with him considerable governance and organisational management experience.

Graeme has been a Chartered Accountant and financial advisor for over 30 years. He was the founding partner of long-established Christchurch accounting firm Marriotts, before the company merged to become Nexia NZ.

Throughout his career, Graeme has developed very strong relationship-building skills, as well as a wealth of commercial knowledge across a range of sectors. He also has considerable financial acumen, with experience working with local, national and international businesses whose annual revenues range from six to eight figures.

Graeme has volunteered his services to the Canterbury Brain Collective as a result of seeing the adverse effects of Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson’s on his clients and their families.

With the number of people affected by these neurological conditions increasing exponentially, Graeme believes it is vitally important that Christchurch has the facilities required to support these people in the community, so they can continue to enjoy full and active lives.

Graeme has two daughters, both of whom have followed in their father’s career footsteps, and is also a keen cyclist.
