Brendan Prendergast

Director

Brendan Prendergast brings with him a strong commercial background, with significant experience and expertise in relationship building, property development, logistics and supply chain management.

During a logistics career that has spanned almost four decades, Brendan has worked with a number of high-profile national and international businesses across a range of sectors, including food, beverage, retail, industrial, and construction.

Now retired, Brendan’s most recent role was chief executive and owner of a fully integrated third-party logistics provider. He is immensely proud to have grown this business from one warehouse, eight trucks and 18 staff, to multiple warehouses and distribution facilities throughout Christchurch and Auckland, including more than 100 trucks operating nationally and a team of 400 people in just 13 years.

After selling his business, Brendan was interested in utilising his skills and expertise in a director’s role for a good cause and was approached to join the Canterbury Brain Collective. As he has family members with Multiple Sclerosis, he thought the organisation would be a good fit.

Brendan is a keen runner, having completed a number of half-marathons, as well as an avid golfer. He also owns and rides a number of motorcycles and loves to travel.

Brendan is married to Jo and is a proud father to Emma and Allice, and grandfather to three grandchildren.
